Samsung Fascinate Crashes Verizon's Andriod Phone Party

Summary

The Samsung Fascinate, which Verizon Wireless will start selling for
$199 this week, is the underdog in an Android lineup dominated by HTC
and Motorola.

On Verizon, those manufacturers' Droid phones steal the show,
benefiting from aggressive marketing and catchy branding. In terms of
hardware, the Fascinate is sort of a midway point between HTC's Droid
Incredible and Motorola's Droid X. The Fascinate also has 2 GB
internal storage and 16 GB on MicroSD, which is more than the Droid
Incredible's 8GB/2GB combination and less than the Droid X's 8GB/16GB.

Reviews of the Fascinate by Slashgear and Engadget note that the phone
uses Bing as its default search engine, not Google - probably more
fallout from the cozy Bing-Verizon relationship.

Sumsung TAB - Android phone and tablet combine!

Summary

Samsung has finally revealed the Galaxy Tab, a tablet computer running
Android 2.2 that will begin shipping in October in Europe. The higher
resolution, compared to Android-based smartphones, is compatible with
about 85 percent to 90 percent of applications on the Android Market,
according to Samsung. The tablet's lower weight and ability to make
phone calls are two of the main advantages it has over Apple's iPad,
Samsung said. The Galaxy Tab is a product you use on the go, and the
iPad is for the living room, Samsung said. Samsung developed TouchWiz
and Social Hub for its smartphones.
