Droid X Vs iPhone 4: How Android Can Win The Battle Against iPhone

Summary
It has been estimated that these Android phones will win consumers worldwide.

As innovative as Apple, Android’s closed system can not win over an
open system in rapidly changing market of smartphones.

As compared to the Apple iPhone the Android phones have several long
term advantages. The new, flashy and fashionable Android phones come
out constantly. If Android comes with a wrong phone it will hardly
matter the market, but if the same happens with Apple who faces a long
list of its contenders, the entire Apple market will suffer a great
loss.

Lumigon T1 Android phone is a universal remote too

Summary
Forget Finnish-made Symbian phones with super-powered cameras, there's
a new Scandinavian mobile in town, and it's armed with Android. The
Lumigon T1 is a high-class smart phone with uptown features such as a
Bang & Olufsen MobileSound3 chip and the ability to control your home
cinema system.

It should also have some cracking sound for a mobile phone, with
purveyor of very expensive electronics Bang & Olufsen's
MobileSound'mini audio processor for mobile phones. Late next year you
should also expect a sister phone, the Lumigon S1, a touchscreen
slider with (oddly) an old-fashioned T9 keypad.

Verizon+AT&T iPhone 4 will put the Droid platform to bed in 2011? True? False?

Summary

The short story of where we are at the end of 2010 in the smartphone world is this: Apple offered the not-yet-launched iPhone exclusively to Verizon, who turned it down, and so Apple gave the iPhone exclusively to AT&T. Verizon’s Android-based phone, dubbed the Droid, sold well to those Verizon users who had wanted the iPhone but couldn’t get one through their carrier. In the case of Verizon-using geeks, that’ll be the Droid. In the case of mainstream Verizon users, it’ll be the iPhone.

Mainstream Verizon customers who’ve spent 2010 debating whether to buy a Droid or wait for a possible Verizon iPhone will now opt for the Verizon iPhone. If Apple had waited another year or two, and a Verizon iPhone might have had a significantly harder time gaining traction. As it stands, the Verizon iPhone won’t claim all Verizon customers when it launches in early 2011, but it’ll claim most of the ones who ever had an interest in the iPhone in the first place. Here’s more on the Verizon iPhone.

ZTE Light - Android Tablet with Built-in Phone

Summary
ZTE, one of China's largest network and phone suppliers, has unveiled
a new tablet device (ZTE Light) that includes phone functionality and
runs on the Android 2.1 OS.

A subsidiary of telecom operator Vodafone will also carry the device
later this year.

ZTE says the tablet's cost will be determined by the telecommunication
operator carrying the device. The company has yet to determine a China
launch date, the company rep said. The ZTE light comes as other
tablets are entering the market. Users can also make phone calls from
that tablet.

Huawei and ZTE may be launching their tablet devices overseas first
because there is not yet a strong market for them domestically.
