Android Tablet - Huawei Mediapad powered by Android 3.2 Latest!

Huawei today unveiled its 7-inch MediaPad, which the company says will be the first to use the previously unannounced Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS (specifically optimized for 7-inch tablets) and the first to use Qualcomm's 1.2GHz Snapdragon processor.

Panasonic will introduce a ruggedized Toughbook tablet running Android OS in Q4 2011. Aimed at enterprise users, the Android Toughbook tablet will offer a sunlight-friendly matte screen, a 10.1'' XGA (1024 x 768) multi-touch display, "full-shift" battery life, GPS connectivity and an optional 3G/4G embedded modem.

The new Android Toughbook tablet will be available in Q4, but Panasonic has not yet specified hardware and pricing details, or confirmed which version of Android OS it will run. Check out the video below.

SINGTEL and HTC announced on Tuesday the launch of the HTC ChaCha, making SingTel customers the first in Asia to experience the new phone specially built for social networking on the go.

The HTC ChaCha - powered by Android Gingerbread 2.3.3 technology - features a dedicated Facebook button for a one-touch access to the key functions of Facebook.

The Facebook button allows users to share content with ease. With a single touch of the button, users can update their status, upload photos, share websites and upload photos instantly.

The phone also makes it easier to stay in touch with friends using Facebook chat and messages by integrating Facebook messages and conversations alongside regular conversations.

When a phone call is made, the screen displays friends' latest statuses and photos and even indicates if their birthday is approaching soon.

The HTC ChaCha is available in shades of Modern White, Phantom Black and Amethyst Purple. 

Android Tablet - Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is coming to Manhattan!

Samsung announced Thursday morning that its latest Android tablet is slated for release next week, but initially only in Manhattan, and only in one store.Initially available in a Wi-Fi only version, the new Galaxy Tab’s price is on par with Apple’s iPad 2 Wi-Fi version. 4G-enabled versions of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 cost $530 and $630 for the 16- and 32-GB models, respectively.
